The total area of this factory is 36000 SQM. In this
17662 SQM is constructed are for our rain water harvesting interest. Rest of open
area is at present left for future water recharging in ground.
The rainfall events in this area is as per enclosed
sheet. In the year 2001 it was 605mm and in the year 2010 it is 746mm. The
average fain fall is taken as 450mm.
This water fall is in the months of June, July, August & September. The rain fall in 15th July to 15th
August if high. The maximum rain fall in
this are is 100mm per rainfall.
The average water consumption of this factory is 400KL
per day. So 100mm water fall is considered in our design criteria.
The collected rain water in 17662SQM is 1766KL per rain
fall. The factory consumption of water
is 400KL. So storage for remaining water 1366KL is considered. So the 1366 KL or CUM under ground tank 20Mx11.5Mx6M is constructed for collecting
water.
The factory building is devided in two parts for
consideration of rain harvesting. Part 1 has 10 Nos. 6” down plastic
pipes.& part ll have also 10 pipes. So common outlet of 20 pipe is 700mm
dia plastic or ms steel pipe. The total length will be 120M.between two parts
of building.In the part ll buildingthere are 11 Nos 6” more pipes down. The pipe connected for
these pipes is 250mm is taken.
The main pipe for joining the outlet of all 31Nos 6” pipes
is 900mm.
